Additional Author Support
Manuscript Development, Book Coaching, and Planning
Not everyone needs full ghostwriting. If you’re writing your book yourself but want expert book coaching, strategic advice, or developmental editing support, these services will help you get your manuscript ready.
Manuscript Development Report
This is not line editing or proofreading. It’s a strategic ‘big picture’ analysis covering content, flow, tone, structure and clarity.
How it works:
- An intake form is required to understand your book’s goals and intended reader
- Full read and analysis of your manuscript
- A written editorial report covering strengths, weaknesses, and specific revision recommendations
- A follow-up call to discuss findings and agree next steps
Who this is for:
- You have a completed draft and want to know, honestly, what it needs before spending more money on it
- You want specific recommendations, not general feedback
Developmental Editing
A Developmental Edit goes beyond a simple assessment. It’s hands-on editing directly on the page. I work through your manuscript rewriting for clarity, structure, flow, and argument, so that your manuscript meets your goals.
This is the right service if you know your manuscript needs further work, but would prefer professional intervention.
How it works:
- An introductory call to understand your goals, reader, and any specific concerns
- Full structural edit of your manuscript with tracked changes and marginal notes
- A follow-up call to discuss the edit and agree on any final revisions
Who this is for:
- You’ve written a draft that needs more than proofreading, it needs restructuring, tightening, or a clearer argument
- You want an experienced editor to work directly on the manuscript rather than just advise
Price and timeline: Dependent on manuscript length and a paid assessment of a 3000-word sample.
Written your first draft using AI? AI-assisted drafts require more extensive structural and editorial work than human-written manuscripts. Pricing is discussed on a call and after completing a paid assessment.
Manuscript Partnership
Similar to book coaching or co-writing, Manuscript Partnership is collaborative developmental support for authors writing their own book. Instead of full ghostwriting, you write while I provide strategic guidance, chapter-by-chapter feedback and expert direction to help you go from idea to completed manuscript. However, unlike book coaching you are required to show that you have already planned and structured your book and that there is a clear deadline for completion.
How Manuscript Partnership works:
- A detailed strategy call to understand your book’s goals, positioning and audience
- Chapter-by-chapter review as you write (two rounds of revisions per chapter)
- Ongoing email support and calls to discuss direction
- Final preparation before you take the manuscript to your editor/ publisher.
Who Manuscript Partnership is for:
- You are happy to write your book yourself, and you have an outline and plan, but want ongoing strategic support as you draft
- Budget is a consideration compared to full ghostwriting.
Timeline and investment dependent on book length and complexity

“In terms of my emotions and feelings at the beginning of the project, it was to be a fun project that I enjoyed. And, actually Corinna, you’ve been great. The process, the connection, the thinking, the shared collaboration; I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s been fun all the way through.”
“Her questions and approach allowed me to reflect in really important ways about my goals. She also got me thinking much harder about the audience of the book and how different it is to be writing something people would ultimately read for pleasure than within work time. I heartily recommend working with her.”
